About Venice Louisiana Due to Hurricane Katrina’s devastation in the Venice area, evening meals are difficult to find after a day trip so let me know and I can arrange a hot meal(slow cooked ribs, chicken, beef) from the Bar-b-que House in Venice for you to take back to your room for the evening. Lodging is available at the following locations: -Venice Marina Inc. (985) 534-9357 -The Lighthouse Lodge (985) 534-2522 We meet our customers at the Venice Marina in Venice, Louisiana. From downtown New Orleans, take Hwy 90 over the Mississippi River bridge (Crescent City Connection). Take Lafayette Street(Hwy. 23) South all the way to Venice. Go over the levee and turn right on Tide Water Road travel 2 miles and turn left after open marsh on both sides of the road.
